   WASTE MANAGEMENT POLICY

Hunt Energy will comply with the Operator requirements for waste disposal as outlined in their Waste Disposal Procedures,
and apply any additional methods under accepted Environmental practice as referred to in the Hunt Energy Environmental
Policy and Safety Management Systems. In particular, Hunt Energy will:

  • Place all waste material in segregated bins or skips where provided by the Operator or Hunt Energy.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping around the rig site, particularly with regard to empty drums, chemical bags & other product containers.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of MSDS’s for all products used on site, to provide information on correct handling and storage. Particular attention will be paid to Hazardous Substances and Dangerous Goods, which will be segregated and signposted.
  • All waste or fluids / cuttings from the drilling process will be directed to appropriate pits, and liners used to prevent soil contamination.
  • Appropriate drainage will be maintained around the rig and camp to contain or direct excess fluid.
  • Camps will have disposal areas for rubbish and control of affluent to minimise odours and maintain hygiene. Rubbish bins will be emptied daily and fitted with lids.

All employees will be given instruction on these requirements as part of their induction process, and site audits will be
       conducted to monitor compliance.
